Hi, I’m Cameda T. Dickerson.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than 10 years’ experience working within mental health, substance abuse and juvenile justice career. I have extensive knowledge within a diverse population, individuals, adolescents, and families. I have extensive experience working within the Juvenile Justice system, Department of Mental Health, and Department of Children and Family Services.

I have always been compassionated about understanding what shapes behavior and emotional dysregulation and daily distress. At L and D Wellness & Counseling Center, we pride ourselves on having strong compassion for helping others through their most challenging circumstances and life transitions. At L and D Wellness & Counseling Center our mission is to help build resilience, self-awareness and help individuals become the best version of themselves while striving to reach their highest potential for wellness and growth.

My Professional journey began at Los Angeles Valley College of Valley Glen California, where I obtained my associate degree in administration of criminal justice in 2008. Then obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at Chapman University of Valencia California in 2012. Then obtaining my Master of Science in Professional Clinical Counseling, with an emphasis on Psychology at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona in 2016. Cameda Journey to Juvenile Justice started in 2013-2015 working with at-risk youth with department of probation juvenile detention. Meanwhile, in 2016 I joined Action Family Counseling IOP program working with adults, families, and adolescents with dual diagnosis.  In my later years I joined Phoenix House of California” Wraparound crisis department from 2017-2023, providing mental health service to DCFS and department of Probation juvenile detention population. Meanwhile, I joined 55 Silver LLC IOP PHP Residential treatment facilities, providing telemental health and dual treatment to adults’ population from 2022-Present.
